RAYMOND E. "RAY" HARDING

March 29, 1943 ~ May 9, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Raymond E. “Ray” Harding, age 74, of Seaford, DE passed away on Tuesday, May 9 2017.

          Ray retired from the DuPont Company in Seaford in 1993, after over 31 years of service.  He then worked at the site as a contractor. He was an active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford, where he served as an usher, a trustee and was active in the Methodist Men Group. He loved riding his motorcycle, gardening, camping and antique tractor shows. 

          He was the son of the late William Lloyd Harding and Evelyn Fox Harding.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Harding.

          Ray is survived by his wife of 54 years, Paulette Wright Harding, son Scott E. Harding (Lisa), daughter, Melinda Mullen (David), 4 grandchildren, Brittney Stewart (Ashlee), Michael Harding (Aimee), Evan Mullen, and Kyle Mullen, 3 great-grandchildren, Jayse, Noah and Emma, a brother, Bill Harding and a sister, Pat Wright (Richard).

          Funeral Services will be on Saturday, May 13th at 11 AM at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Pine & Poplar Sts, Seaford.  Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM and at church on Saturday morning from 10 to 11 AM.  Burial will be in the Junior Order Cemetery, Preston, MD at 2 PM on Saturday.

          In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, 300 Pine St, Seaford, DE 19973.
