Phyllis Ann (Rohde) Hansen 82, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home. She passed in the comfort of her home and surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of Paul Hansen for 60 years.

Born October 17, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Rhode and is survived by her husband Paul William Hansen and three children, Paul Hansen, Lisa Ward and Stacy Sullivan, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Phyllis graduated from Saint Joseph’s Nursing School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1956. She was a devoted and compassionate nurse who served as a practicing nurse for 35 years in various settings. She volunteered at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for 15 years where she served the Seaford community. Phyllis was an avid animal lover donating and welcoming homeless animals who wondered down her path in Seaford.

Friends will be received at Cranston Funeral Home, Saturday June 10 at 3pm. Please join the family following the service at the Hansen residence in Seaford. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the local Hospice organization or any animal shelter.
