JOSEPH J SHELKO

Joseph J. Shelko, age 79, of Seaford, DE passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018.

          Joseph retired from the Washington DC Metro Police Department as a Sergeant.  He then retired from the Prince Georges County School District where he was head of security. He was an accomplished accordion player and had his own band.

          He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Shelko, 3 sons, Joseph Shelko (Sarah), Daniel Shelko (fiancée Kelly), John Shelko (Sokanya), 5 grandchildren, Joseph Shelko, Franz Shelko, Kimberly Shelko, Sovanna Shelko and Johnny Shelko, brother Leo Shelko and a sister, Victoria Navalaney. 

          Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 16th at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 E. Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE, where friends may call from 10 to 11. 

          In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 30265 Commerce Dr, Suite 202, Millsboro, DE 19966.
