On Sunday, April 17, 2016, Dawn Michele Passwaters of Seaford took the journey to Heaven to be with her beloved husband Duane.  Dawn was born March 28, 1968 in Seaford.  Dawn was a 1986 graduate of Epworth Christian School in Laurel, where she was outstanding in basketball and softball.  Employed for over six years with the Seaford School District in Orthopedic Transportation, Dawn really enjoyed her job and truly loved all of her students.  Dawn, like her sister and brother, was a diehard New York Yankees fan.  She looked forward to her annual trip to the Orioles, Yankees game at Camden Yards with one of her best friends, Suzette Kraft.  Dawn enjoyed baking cakes and especially brownies for friends and family.  She loved making people laugh.  Dawn never lost contact with her best friend from kindergarden, Myra Casteel from Charles Town, West Virginia.  Myra would always say that Dawn was the sister she never had.

          Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Duane in December 2015.  She is survived by her two sons, who she loved dearly, Trent of Delmar and Tyler who lived at home with his mom, her parents, Frank Sr. and Pamela Passwaters of Seaford, sister, Amy Passwaters of Laurel and brother Frank Passwaters Jr. and fiancée, Amy Messick of Seaford.  Dawn is also survived by her in-laws, Larry and Faye Passwaters, sisters-in-law, Tina Passwaters and Lisa Willey and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

          A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 1 PM at the Cranston Funeral Home 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 11:30 AM to 1PM. 

          In lieu of flowers contributions in Dawn’s name may be sent to the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, DE 19973 to help defray funeral expenses.
