Betty Rowins, age 87, of Seaford, DE passed away on October 15, 2016.

Betty was originally from Greenwood, DE where she graduated from Greenwood High School.  She was a country music fan and a loyal fan of Orioles baseball.  She enjoyed going out to lunch and truly cherished the love and loyalty of her old friends with whom she shared so many good times and stood by each other through the difficult times.

Betty’s first priority was being a devoted wife and mother, but she also contributed to the family over the years by working at West Seaford Elementary School Cafeteria, Peebles Department Store, and Walker Garment Factory.

Her beloved husband Tommie (Wilmer Thomas Rowins Jr) passed away in 2013.  They were married for 62 years.  She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Forst and her husband Jeff of Greensboro, MD as well as an extended family that was dear to her:  Silas McHenry Jr, Betty Tull, Lex and Sandy Tull, Denise Linnenbaugh, Dawn Smith, Laurie McHenry, Lee McHenry, Michael McHenry, Benjamin McHenry, and Sarah Rowland.

She was preceded in death by her birth parents Wilton and Mary Etta Craft as well as the parents who raised her Willis and Ruby Craft Tull Sr; her beloved sister and brother Myrtle McHenry and Willis “Buck” Tull Jr., and her dear niece Linda Fleming and nephew Keith Tull.

Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St in Seaford, DE.  Visitation begins at 1 PM.  Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
